Terms of Service

By creating an account, you agree to these terms. They cover what we promise, what we ask of you, and what happens if something goes wrong.

The service

Creator Companion is a private daily-journal app for creative practice. New accounts get a 10-day free trial of every feature; after that, continued use requires an active subscription at $5.99/month or $49.99/year. Prices are in USD and may change with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Creator Companion.
• One account per person. Sharing credentials is discouraged for your own security.
• You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity under your account.
• Use a real email address — we send trial reminders, security notices, and receipts there.

Acceptable use

Creator Companion is a private journal — there's no audience and no sharing layer. Even so, please don't use the service to:

• Store content that's illegal where you live or where our infrastructure runs (US).
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access, abuse rate limits, or scrape data you don't own.
• Upload malware, exploit code, or content depicting child sexual abuse.

Severe violations may result in account suspension. We'll try to give you a chance to export your data first.

Your content

You own everything you write or upload. We don't claim any rights to your journal entries, photos, or to-dos. We need a basic license to store and display the content back to you (host it, back it up, render it in the app); that license ends when you delete the content.

Subscriptions and refunds

• Trials end automatically; we won't charge you until you start a subscription.
• Subscriptions renew at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel.
• Cancel any time from your account page. Access continues to the end of the paid period.
• If you're unhappy within the first 7 days of a paid subscription, contact us for a full refund.
• Failed payments trigger Stripe's retry flow. We don't lock your account on the first failed attempt; we keep your subscription active during the retry window. After Stripe gives up, your account moves to read-only until you re-subscribe.

Privacy

How we handle your data is covered in our Privacy Policy. The short version: no ads, no selling, no reading your entries, no model training.

Availability and "as-is"

We work hard to keep the service running but can't guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, we limit our liability to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the account page. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms; we'll give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data unless there's a legal or security reason not to.

Changes

If we change these terms in a material way, we'll email registered users at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
